Georgetown is a product of the combined efforts of Adam Osmianski and Joy Ellis

Joy Ellis is a jazz piano vocalist based in London, England.  Since appearing on the music scene in 2003 she has performed in the UK, Europe, South-East Asia and the USA. She achieved a Masters in Jazz Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London in 2008 where she was taught by an array of fantastic musicians on the current UK jazz scene such as Nikki Iles, Pete Churchill, Malcolm Edmonstone and Martin Speake.  Since then she has travelled the world performing as a solo piano vocalist and with her band Georgetown.  Joy has recently turned her hand to composing and was the recent winner of the 2012 BASBWE festival composition contest. Adam Osmianski is a drummer and percussionist originally from Pittsburgh, PA.  Since beginning his professional career he has performed throughout Europe, Asia, the U.S. and in South America.  Apart from the Georgetown project, Adam has also released three albums and toured Asia with WVC TRiO, a piano trio (and sometimes quartet) based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  With a degree in Jazz Performance and a Masters in Jazz Pedagogy, he is now an on-line lecturer for West Virginia University and also presents masterclasses and clinics during his travels.  He has given these classes in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Brazil and at home in the U.S.  For more information visit www.adamosmianski.com
